What was the #1 story in gay entertainment for 2003? Was it “Queer Eye,” “Boy Meets Boy,” Tab Hunter and Richard Chamberlain, or the fact that (as of this wiritng) Will Truman still doesn’t have a boyfriend? Nope. Nada. Not a chance. The #1 story in gay entertainment for 2003 was the departure of John Rutherford from Falcon Studios and his purchase of Colt Studios. Now this was news! Why? Because the man who turned the Falcon image into an icon was moving to a studio whose equally iconic ideal was its polar opposite.
Consider: The “Falcon Man” has only recently reached manhood. He’s in his mid-20s at the most, with a flawless swimmer’s build and a huge cock. The hair on his head is perfectly styled, and it’s virtually the only hair on his body. When he wears anything, it’s white Calvin Klein briefs, and he rarely shows much emotion during sex beyond the orgasmic groan. Think Tom Cruise and the cast of Top Gun. Yum!

This is a definitive Colt video, but it comes with the best that Falcon had to offer. The men are marvels of meaty masculinity, and they ride each other hard. The camerawork is voluptuous, but it gets in tight. Each scene has its own character, and each will have you shooting loads again and again. It will take you days to get through it all. When they called it Reload, they weren’t kidding! ...but he’s still riding the same Colt!
To assure diehard Colt fans, Rutherford does something that’s simply brilliant - he opens each scene with a classic Colt image of the past that morphs into the present with the new models in the same pose. Ironically, this works least well in the opening scene, which may be the video’s best. The shot is of two of Colt’s “biggest” early stars - the mountainous Bruno and Toby. It fades to Alex LeMonde and Marcus Iron, two very hot men but not nearly as ripped or as hairy.
But you forget all that the instant they begin what is some of the best foreplay ever seen in a gay porn. GayVN needs to create a “Best Kiss” Award just for these guys. As LeMonde and Iron lock lips, they also stroke each other’s meat with genuine intensity. They then take turns kneeling down and sucking each other’s considerable cocks down to the roots. They lick and finger each other’s asses with gusto (and spit) - a video first for LeMonde, who has never let anything go up his ass before. Fans of Colt bodybuilders will rejoice over the next scene that begins with an original drawing of three naked musclemen by Rip Colt. It morphs into three living behemoths: long-haired blond Trey Rexx is on his back on a deck chair; darkman Jake Gianelli is sucking him off; and blond bombshell, new Colt exclusive and box cover model Tod Parker is fucking his face. Rexx pulls apart Parker’s marble cheeks to reveal a tight rosebud hiding in the brambles of ass-hair, and Gianelli dives right in with his tongue. The three men alternate positions (though Parker never actually sucks cock) before serving up the main course - the pummeling of Rexx’s ass doggie-style.
